Fanart - Ai Loves Neo Geo

The Neo Geo was definitely one of the defining arcade machines of my youth. For the time it was not only an incomparable powerhouse of a video game machine, but it was also a bastion of incredibly talented and passionate developers. Ai is perhaps a less well known character, but she essentially served as the mascot for the Neo Geo system in many players' eyes.

A couple of people requested Midnight Bliss Ingrid from Capcom Fighting Jam. Her design is incredibly simple and sexy; I can see why it's arguably more popular than her original costume.

For those of you who think this isn't suggestive enough, well I may have something for that.

Nagi Ryou is one of my favorite concept artists. He really does a great job creating characters and settings that draw upon recognizable, some would say even trope, iconography while retaining a distinct and fresh look. While he often works on games that are distinctly low-brow, his passion and creativity still shine through despite often dated engine usage and inconsistent QA.

Kula Diamond from King of Fighters. I've always loved the designs from the KOF series, they have a wonderful economy of detail that really makes each character feel distinct even when many of them share similar silhouettes.

I figured if I was going to do a pinup of Kula, I would be remiss if I didn't somehow exploit her "ice glass" superpower in some way. Of course making the glass out of ice has one drawback...

I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with Makoto's new costume from Continuum Shift. On the one hand; I hate it for being so impractical and shamelessly pandering. On the other hand; I love it for being so impractical and shamelessly pandering.
